March WBON Meeting
Join us for our March meeting focused on Women's Health issues. We will be focusing in two areas of women's health; The physical well being and the mind/body connection. Dr. Lynn Baldwin, consulting physician and Aren Soto, personal trainer. Please see information below that details more about our meeting. Dr. Lynn Baldwin: After practicing as a registered nurse for over ten years, Lynn L. Baldwin went on to the Medical College of Wisconsin, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989. Dr Baldwin completed her residency in Family Medicine at St MichaelÃÂ's Hospital in 1992. She holds board certification through the American Board of Integrative, Holistic Medicine. Before devoting her full time to cancer nutrition and advocacy, Dr Baldwin had been a consulting physician in Integrative Medicine at Wellness Connection in Wales, Wisconsin. She has extensive post-graduate education and experience in nutrition, herbal medicine, mind-body therapies and has completed the Cancer Guide Professional Training through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. In addition, Dr Baldwin is Reiki III Master Level trained. Dr Baldwin is a member and past-president of the Waukesha Medical Society, past delegate to the State Medical Society, prior Integrative Medicine board member at Westwood Health and Fitness, and served on the Expert Panel of the WomenÃÂ's Health Foundation (founded by Sue Ann Thompson). Whether developing individual health strategies or educating her clients, Dr. Baldwin takes a proactive approach in managing their wellness needs. She views herself as bridging the gap between conventional and complementary medicine and believes good health is a function of physical, emotional, spiritual and mental factors. In addition to her private cancer advocacy practice, Dr Baldwin is a frequently requested speaker at workshops, seminars, retreats and specialty group meetings. She has been quoted in several lay press articles on integrative approaches to health care and womenÃÂ's midlife issues.
